Brazil has a tropical climate and a little of dry climate (the Caatinga). Rio de Janeiro: - Has a tropical Savannah climate. - The average minimum temperature is 21 degrees Celsius and the average maximum is 27 degrees Celsius. Much of Brazil receives 40-70 inches (1,000-1,800 mm) annually, but precipitation often is much heavier in parts of the Amazon basin and the sea-facing rim of the Serra do Mar.
